A Vintage Stromberg rotary telephone sits, in all of its cream colored glory, on a Goodwill outlet shelf. Its handset has applied to it a silver overlay. It can't possibly be anything you could get from the telephone company.
Detail of the silver overlay that has been applied to a Stromberg rotary telephone handset. It looks tarnished, it looks like it definitely is silver. It hasn't been engraved, and no plate has been attached to it, leading one to believe that they meant to leave it fancy and blank like this.
I'm not in the market for a Stromberg rotary unit with what appears to be a fancy silver overlay on its handset, but you should see it.

I'm not sure this was it precisely, but my work got us all a Qualcomm in 2000 and we didn't even call them cell phones, just "Qualcomms." I used it mostly for work and to impress dudes and invite them back to my office roof to make out.

Phone releases are incredibly repetitive now. How much better do our food and drink snap need to be? Or the speed of opening an app? Itโs mere milliseconds in difference.
Phones peaked long ago. I canโt justify upgrading this iPhone 15 Plus to anything new.
