PhyloSIB, our annual workshop about molecular evolution, phylogenetics, and comparative phylogenomics took place Wednesday.
15 SIB Groups presented recent developments in the field. We had a full house: 80 people. A lively discussion concluded the workshop.

Jūlija Pečerska wins the #PhyloSIB title: “Evolution of evolutionary methods” #Biology25
David Moi #Biology25 #PhyloSIB: FoldTree2 encodes protein 3D structure as an alphabet which keeps most of the information and can be used for phylogenetic inference 😮. Validated by recovering known groups on twilight zone homologous proteins.
