A large mineral sample fills the bottom of this image as a smaller one, a small piece of cast iron, and a very thing needle hover above. The whole scene is lit with orange, red, and magenta light and a very low depth of field setting on a vintage lens creates dramatic blurring.

Two sharp stones are placed almost touching each other in this macro photograph. They are arranged vertically. The top stone has a flat shape with rough edges and is illuminated in a deep red light. The stone at bottom is more broad in shape with less clearly defined edges glows with a pinkish coral colored light.
The tension here in this image and the mix of hard and soft light for sure sticks with me and I really hope to use that in future works
