Arrrrrrg 😱, I opened my M101 lights folder in #Pixinsight / #WBPP, an error has occurred... in Windows Explorer, on my hard drive, the folder has disappeared... I’ve just lost all my lights and flat frames from the last two days’ session 🔭 that I’d stored on a hard drive... 😢

M45 – The Pleiades
I’ve reprocessed my image from 27/12/2025 🔭, trying to bring out the surrounding gas and the IFN more clearly. For only 20x180sec, the result isn’t too bad. 🙂

the galaxy M33, north is up. the core of the galaxy is tan colored with blue spiral arms going out counterclockwise. knots of Ha are seen interspersed throughout the spiral arms.

M33 from bortle 8, last step was new denoising tool called "Prism Deep". probably best used on images that are noisier than this one but still helped a little bit. Ha added via R continuum subtraction. #pixinsight #m33 #galaxy #astrophotography #HaRGB #prismdeep #astro @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social

The Double Cluster, also known as Caldwell 14, consists of the open clusters NGC 869 and NGC 884, which are close together in the constellation Perseus. Both visible to the naked eye, NGC 869 and NGC 884 lie at a distance of about 7,500 light-years in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy.

Despite the awful weather I did manage to get 5 hours on the #DoubleCluster. I have had another play with the data in #PixInsight. Captured with my @zwoastro #asi533mcPro with the @optolong #Lpro filter. #Astrophotography

I reworked the Trunk using MAS (MultiscaleAdaptiveStretch) for the stretch... this new tool is very powerful indeed. I was able to recover quite a bit of detail and bring out more depth in the image. #Pixinsight #MAS 🔭

Just over 4.5 hours of 10 second images of the galaxy cluster Abell 1185 in Ursa Major resulted in many more tiny galaxies in the photo than I expected. All images taken with a #SeeStar S50 and processed with #AstroPixelProcessor and #PixInsight.

The are 30 second images at an ISO of 3200 f/4 Nikon Z5 with a Sigma 105 mm lens. Traced with a MoveShootMove Nomad. It is processed in PixInsight.
