Well, I'm now 75% through my #PlayEverything exercise
It seemed appropriate for today (although it was a random selection) #PlayEverything
Sometimes my #playeverything goes very slow as I keep returning to my favorites and play them over and over and over again...
#NP John Coltrane - Blue Train (Blue Note, 1957).
Major projects February 2025:
> Ranking RUSH and OPETH discographies
> Watch 28 movies #amovieaday
It might not seem like much, but add to that 60 hour work weeks, family chores, a backlog of CD and LP purchases from 2024-25 and the ongoing #playeverything, it's quite ambitious - but great fun!
Between #PlayEverything & my exploration of the Medieval I usually haven't the time to follow up on recommendations made on here, but I like seeing the diversity found amongst my mutuals. I'll enjoy Andy's journey vicariously
Well, I'm still committed to #PlayEverything which I'll probably finish in October & until then I'm not to be distracted
That looks like fun and if I wasn't committed to finishing #PlayEverything I'd probably give it a go.
I wonder how much jazz or classical it'll suggest. It'll be an interesting journey whatever
And that's my final LP in the vinyl edition of #PlayEverything. #DailyVinyl has taken 20 months and has given me a deeper insight into my musical tastes during 1980-2000. Will I repeat the exercise? Probably, but not for a year or two
I'll finish #PlayEverything (probably next October) and then revisit favourite albums including a shortened #DailyVinyl. But in the meantime, back to lovely, clean digital
I'm far too consumed by the demands of #PlayEverything and ##MonksMusic so try not to be seduced or sidetracked by what I find here but I do fail quite often
Play it all, pay nothing! 𝗩𝗟𝗖 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 is your open-source Swiss Army knife for media—no ads, no tracking, just pure playback. 🎥 #OpenSource #PlayEverything

Another #PlayEverything voyage of discovery?
I don't have many tbh but this one survives & #PlayEverything says it's its turn & I've worse disks, a lot worse
#PlayEverything is just that, an exploration & rediscovery of my life through music.
Enjoying this added solution which is encouraging me to stay with the physical format as portability not an issue indoors. Nice pile of discs to re-visit #playeverything
#PlayEverything has still got a year to go and then I can start on the next playlist
I'd rather be listening to Gesualdo but the demands of #PlayEverything bring me to this point. I seem to remember buying it because I wanted to hear Jaco Pastorious.
Morning mmch. Not heard it in years but it's turn came up on the #PlayEverything list
That's what makes #PlayEverything & #DailyVinyl so interesting. It's an exploration of my past, some of which was dubious
By Contemporary do you mean 1950-2000 or 21st Century? But the answer is the same, yes I do. My purchasing & listening habits are a bit restricted & complicated by #Monksusic & #PlayEverything which might be giving a false impression
Since I started #PlayEverything I've added a further 556 records to the collection. Big bargain box sets are my downfall
Just queued up the album that gets me to 66.6% of the way through my #PlayEverything extravanganza. Fittingly it's by @solobasssteve.bsky.social
stevelawson.bandcamp.com/album/colony...
Now I'm 66% of my way through my #PlayEverything project I'm realising, despite the quantity of music, sometimes the performances are not the best. So I'm slowly building a list of composers & their works that will need serious attention once I'm in the clear
I really don't get them at all but #PlayEverything has decided today's the day this album gets played. It will be a long time before I listen to it again
Today #PlayEverything has thrown up Now 100 Hits: Decade 2010s
To spare my sanity I'll be using the individual tracks to separate all the short, individual Telemann Quadri, Concerti and Sinfonia I intend to play.
Between #PlayEverything & #MonksMusic I'm somewhat restricted to what's up next, but given free reign I'd almost certainly be listening pre-1700 (& Bach)
I know. #PlayEverything
Morning, That's the joy of the #PlayEverything & #DailyVinyl. Whatever comes next gets played, regardless
Thank you. The range is because I'm 64% (2 years) of my way through an attempt to #PlayEverything in my record collection. There's no guarantee of quality & it's in a random order so you never know what'll be up next. The #DailyVinyl is a similar but incorporated sequence.
