born ancient
and always ready to die
I will not fight it
welcome it instead
for there is a haunting hollow
a wearying grief
a vast expanse
a chronic ache in the bones
while pondering
where the moral uncertainty
disappeared to

It’s more than I can take
I could cry an ocean of tears
It’s one of my greatest fears
I can’t see your face
Your gone without a trace
I pretend it’s not real
