During our tour of Oahu today, we stopped at the Polynesian Cultural Center for a bit. There were some neat little shops and we learned a bit about the Polynesian islands. It’s a fun stop and great for families!

Five grey statue carvings with wide eyes that represent the Moai of Rapa - as on Easter Island. They are in a line with what appear to be brown hats on top of their heads, and placed on a small island in the middle of a lagoon in the Polynesian Cultural Center Oahu, Hawaii. They are tall figures, but locals believe the strange looking hats, represent hair. There are palm trees behind and a blue sky. Extra Info: They are called Moai, and they are handmade authentic replicas of the statues found on the 64 square mile island of Rapa Nui, on the eastern most point of the Polynesian Triangle. You may know it by its European name of Easter Island.
