The drama of a sunset on Polzeath Beach. A huge deep mauve cloud covers the top right corner of the frame with deep shadowed brown beach in the bottom half. Yesterday afternoon when the mist was still rising from the sea at #Polzeath. The surfers out and bars/cafe's all buzzing, great to see everyone enjoying this 'inbetween week'. The mix of sunshine and mist makes for beautiful views!

Postally used on 4 July 1955 with Penzance cancellation on brown 2d stamp and sent to Great Barr, Birmingham. Fairly good condition, with slight corner bumps, but creases to top corners and mild bend running down the left centre from top to bottom.
