Photograph taken on the steps down towards the opening of the 30m tunnel, Halliggye Fogou, in the depths of Cornwall. It's from C5th BC and was used for storage or religious ritual. Well worth a visit but one of the creepiest Iron Age places I've visited. Aiming to go back! Image looks down towards the pitch black rectangular wall entrance to a tunnel. The sides are stone and covered in green moss. The floor is deep brown dirt. Over the top, shielding the opening are well established green ferns of various types.
