Two people shot at Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, sheriff says The festival had to be shut down early, deputies said. Sheriff Gerald Sticker was on the scene and confirmed two individuals were shot.

“Beginning on July 4, 2024, Louisiana law will no longer require a permit to carry a concealed weapon.”
