Day 2 in #Portpatrick in not so #sunny #Scotland. Managed 6 or so miles on the lovely route from Kirkcolm to Lady Bay and Port Beg. Very grey and very windy for the last hour. Lovely #sea #views and birdwatching.

The first day of my birthday hols at #Portpatrick in #sunny #scotland. We went to the Mull of Galloway, which is further south than my home in Cumbria. Then along the #cliffs to Dunskey #castle 1st time I've been able to go inside. Magical

Portpatrick in the Rhins of Galloway. The image shows the view down onto the harbour from the north-west. The harbour has two basins and the entrance from the sea is half way up the image on the right. A village of mainly white-painted houses, cottages and larger buildings stretches out along the far side of the harbour. The scene is in sunshine.
The beautiful village of Portpatrick in the Rhins of Galloway, which looks out over the North Channel towards Northern Ireland. Its origins date back some 500 years and until the 1860s it was a major ferry port. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot...
