The demise of Post.News came suddenly. After the shock I joined Bluesky and I’ve enjoyed it here.
The news yesterday gave me a Post.News flashback. If Bluesky becomes intolerable (possible) or shuts down (less likely), I’m not sure where I’d go.
I wish some more Posties would join us. @lynnemccartney.bsky.social and I vet everyone so no trolls.

#PostNews was a *great* news micro-payment website. You could buy (or earn) points that could be redeemed to read individual articles when annual subscriptions were too expensive.
User growth failed to meet goals. They couldn't get additional investors or a buyer, so Post News closed down.

Inspired by the artwork posted by @charlespiroth.bsky.social on #PostNews earlier this year, I decided to take an art class. Van Gogh I am not, but it was still really fun. This was the painting I did for my final project. Acrylic on canvas board. 🎨

Hard to believe that we’re coming up on 6 months since the demise of #PostNews. I like it here (a lot) but I still miss that community (and the edit function!); it may have been the best *social* media platform I’ve experienced.
