A collection of vintage Apple computers is neatly arranged in a basement workspace with unfinished walls lined with pink insulation. The machines are placed on and around a beige desk with a wood-themed vinyl floor beneath. On the floor in the foreground sits a Graphite iMac G3 facing the camera. To the left of it is a Shuttle XPC cube, and to the right are three Power Mac G4 towers in a row: a Quicksilver, a Mirrored Drive Doors (MDD), and a Graphite model. Furthest to the right is an aluminum Mac Pro. On top of the desk are various Apple laptops and desktops. From left to right: a Lime iBook G3 Clamshell is open and angled toward the camera. Behind it, partially obscured by the laptops, is a white iMac G4. Next to the iBook G3 is a 12-inch PowerBook G4, followed by a 15-inch PowerBook G4, and then a 12-inch iBook G4, all open and arranged in a tidy row. A desk is covered with the fully disassembled components of a PowerBook G3 “Pismo” laptop. The bottom casing of the PowerBook is positioned in the center-right of the desk, with its green logic board and other internals exposed. Around it are various parts removed from the system, including the CPU/RAM daughtercard, the optical drive, hard drive, heat sink, speaker assembly, AirPort card, keyboard, and the display panel, which sits toward the back-left of the desk with its cables still attached. Also on the desk are multiple precision screwdrivers, a magnifying glass, a blue and white ceramic coffee mug, a remote control, a CD-R, and some scattered screws and tools. A large flat-panel Sun Microsystems monitor looms behind the workspace, turned off, with another white Apple keyboard partly underneath it. Nearby, an iPad with a keyboard case is just visible at the right edge of the frame, and the corner of a laptop with SteelSeries stickers is tucked under the desk on the left.

Sooo… I tore this #powerbook #powerbookg3 apart thinking the little power jack was the issue… it was not. It was the cable that was the problem. Oh. I see.
