Die Sängerin reagierte tief bewegt und unterstützte die GoFundMe-Kampagne der Familie mit einer großzügigen Spende von 100.000 US-Dollar (etwa 85.760 Euro). Auf der Spendenplattform schrieb sie: „Ich sende meiner Freundin Lilah die größte Umarmung! Alles Liebe, Taylor.“ Swifts großzügige Spende löste eine beeindruckende Welle an Hilfsbereitschaft und Solidarität aus. Ihre Fans, besser bekannt als Swifties, spendeten innerhalb kürzester Zeit sogar noch mehr als ihr Idol selbst. Insgesamt kamen über 263.000 US-Dollar (etwa 225.000 Euro) zusammen. Genug, um die medizinische Versorgung der kleinen Lilah langfristig zu sichern. Auf der GoFundMe-Seite bedankte sich die Mutter Kathleen öffentlich bei Taylor Swift und ihren Fans: „Ihr seid absolut großartig.
