A cell phone camera image of some stars in the night sky. Top center left is the brightest point in the image, the Planet Jupiter. Following a slanted diagonal line down from Jupiter, and to the left at about Jupiter's 6 o clock is a bright start in the constellation Canis Minor (means Small dog), and that star is named Procyon (means Before the dog). Now if we go to bottom left center there is the brightest star in the whole sky (except the planet Jupiter (not a star)). It's called Sirius "The Dog Star", part of the constellation Canis Major (means Big dog). Looking to the bottom center right side is almost all the constellation Orion. Three close stars tilt up to the right in the middle of the constellation, and form Orion's belt. Up and to the left of the belt is a bright red star, the red supergiant Betelgeuse. It is Orion's left shoulder. The right shoulder star is directly right of it at the edge of the image. Still hugging the edge, but below the shoulder star, and below the belt stars is Orion's right leg star. Unfortunately, the left leg star is behind a tree in the dark. All the rest of the background in this image is completely dark.
