Four years ago today, HSS launched the Herptile Roadkill Project, also known as #ProjectRunOver. This citizen science initiative quantifies herpetofauna-vehicle collisions (HVC) in Singapore. 🐸
Day 3 of #WCH10 is gonna be a wild one for me; co-chairing a symposium (schedule attached), giving a talk, and presenting a poster on @herpsocsg.bsky.social’s #ProjectRunOver.
Come by & find me at Meeting Room 5, or standing lost by my poster stand.
#ProjectRunOver '23 Summary shows the Asian Toad & the Malayan Water Monitor as the #herps most observed in wildlife-vehicle collisions.
You can learn more about #ProjectRunOver & check out our past maps here.
We are bringing you our annual #ProjectRunOver summary for 2023!
A huge thanks to the community scientists who are vital to this project!! Do continue to watch for wildlife-vehicle collisions when you are out and about, and submit them to us.
