Went to a neat free event today sponsored by the #SanDiegoRiverParkFoundation w/ speaker from @sdhumane.bsky.social #ProjectWildlife. We learned about local raptors, like this one... his name is Popeye and he's a one-eyed 22-year-old red-shouldered hawk weighing in at close to 1.5 pounds. 🤩

Update: Project Wildlife picked up Gotham shortly after I left. The lady who transported Gotham said he/she is doing fine and told triage about the name. Hopefully my little dude will heal quickly and take flight. So yes, I saved Gotham! #animalrescue #projectwildlife #sandiegohumanesociety
