It's telling that the current Westminster administration, who aren't exactly providing space for nature in their policies, have proposed banning bottom trawling in 41 MPAs- most of the English ones, but the Scottish Government still allows bottom trawling in 92% of our MPAs.

The High Seas Treaty is an urgently needed international agreement to create Marine Protected Areas in the oceans.
It's been broadly agreed already by 193 countries but without proper ratification by 60 countries it wont happen.
The UK is among those countries that has yet to ratify.
