It happened before the fair started. No ribbons for #ProtestDolls, but when I stopped to visit them yesterday, they were fairly well displayed and people were taking pictures

Now that #ProtestDolls are sent off to sleep away camp, I'm turning my focus back to #NaeKingsQuilt, and I'm determined to do it to perfection. I unpicked this row again and stitched it for the third time, and it was WORTH IT

Some official looking fair people in a golf cart just stopped us in the drop off line so they could take pictures of the #ProtestDolls 🥹

The #ProtestDolls are ready to be dropped off for judging. Each sign has alternate text on the other side. Wish them luck! I'll report back on opening day (8/21) with the results!

It would have been so damn disappointing to show up with the #ProtestDolls on drop off day only to find out I want actually registered 😂

As it is, I'm already concerned they don't "fit the brief" of depicting a story.

Did a practice #ProtestDolls sign and it's passable, but I don't love it. So I'm going to play some video games about it

Not so much about the #ProtestDolls... I do plan on having them done this week. But #NaeKingsQuilt terrifies me

In hindsight, I'm still glad I set myself the goal of finishing all the sewing for the #ProtestDolls this weekend even though I fell spectacularly short. If I hadn't, I probably wouldn't have attempted the shoes for another week or two, and it would be an even more stressful failure.

Yes, yes it is

Yes, but I have so little faith in my quilting that I want to make sure the #ProtestDolls are presentation worthy so if the quilt goes off the rails, I'll have SOMETHING to submit.

My goal for this weekend is to finish the sewing for #ProtestDolls

This means:
