Latest developments in the #Syria civil war. The rebels have swiftly taken the big city of #Hama, leaving regime troops and their equipment encircled north of Hama, in the town of #Qomhane. This is looking like the next one in a streak of military desasters for #Assad, in only about a weeks time

#SyAA is launching a counter offensive on Airz, north of #Hama and west of #Qomhane

#HTS claims the capture of the town of Khattab (red), bringing them less than 7km away from #Hama. It seems they are deliberately avoiding the fortified area of #Qomhane and adopting a pincer move.

Information that forward elements of #HTS are now past #Qomhane, which "locks" the city of #Hama due to the Zayn al-Abidin moutain. This is the prime spot for a primary defensive line, and they went right through.
