My morning coffee routine puzzles were rather easy this morning. If I were a superstitious man, I would say that it's a good omen that something is going to go wrong today.

Enjoy #quartiles on Apple News but infuriatingly inconsistent in its rules. “Rota” (chiefly British but my experience is that it is used in the States) not a word. “Loch” (Scots, full on and not “chiefly”) is accepted. Both are Scrabble-legal. Sigh.

#Apple is doing a pretty insidious job of making themselves a permament part of my morning rituals.

A group of four people, two men and one woman in the foreground and another man slightly behind, walk down a stark, white hallway with serious expressions. They are dressed in business attire with ID badges hanging from blue lanyards around their necks. The setting has a sterile, corporate atmosphere, and the scene gives a sense of mystery and formality. The image appears to be a still from the television series Severance, which features a dystopian workplace narrative.
Really, today’s #Quartiles? Did you think we wouldn’t notice?
