In 1989, a year before his death, Keith Haring created what is now only called, β€œUnfinished painting.”

Intentionally left unfinished to represent the incomplete lives of the thousands of AIDS victims that the US government failed to save during the AIDS crisis.

Paragraph 175 Paragraph 175 was a German statute that criminalized sexual relations between men. The Nazis revised Paragraph 175 in 1935 to make it broader and harsher.

Legislation criminalizing homosexual acts was enshrined in Paragraph 175 during German Empire.
An unnatural sex act committed between persons of male sex or by humans with animals is punishable by imprisonment.
And obviously, death.

The days leading up to those atrocities feel very much like these present days.

It was Kathy Kozachenko, a trailblazing figure in LGBTQ+ history. In 1974, at the age of 21, she won a seat on the Ann Arbor City Council, Michigan.
