I make sure to have scenes showing that their apartment, at least their bedrooms at the beginning, are where Asher and Elijah can feel safe and relax. It’s where they can just be.

In my romance WIP “Faking A Relationship For Fun And Profit” rooommates Elijah and Asher share a home apartment. It’s under threat when their homophobic landlord assumes they’re in a relationship, but they’re willing to lean into the lie to fundraise for legal fees to fight for it.

Enaka has lost a home prior to the series. It's not the one they were born & raised in, but the one they felt the most belonging in, the one they made friends & a life at.
It was stripped violently from them, & Enaka no longer *really* feels home anywhere.
