We're stepping into the wayback machine for this week's #QuestionsWithCauseway.
Your gaming journey started somewhere. Whether it was in the arcade, digging the sharp corners of an NES controller into your hand, or tapping on a mobile phone, we want to know... What was your first game?
Pull out your soap box, clear your throat, and make your voice heard. It is your moment to champion the underdog!
In this week's #QuestionsWithCauseway, we're asking... what game do you think was unfairly maligned, is better than the reviews it got, and will ultimately stand the test of time?
All games and no work make... wait. That's not how it goes. Let me try again!
So, you MUST do something other than make and play video games... right? Do you have a secret hobby outside of the video game space? We want to know what makes you a well-rounded human being! #QuestionsWithCauseway
Class select from Quest for Glory III featuring Fighter, Magic User, and Thief.
Another week in the books, and another #QuestionsWithCauseway. This week, we want you to get to know our team through how they play with others. So we're asking... What role do you usually play when you're on a team? Tank, DPS, Support, Lone Wolf, or something else?
#QuestionsWithCauseway
The souls games 100%. I was stuck at Gargoyles for days when I first picked up DS. That's absolutely hilarious to me now.
Monster Hunter definitely took me a long while to get in the rhythm of and realize Hammer is clearly the best weapon.
Monster Hunter. Oh, how I long to love the game where you venture out with your friends on expeditions to hunt dangerous game, succeed, and craft awesome loot from your hard-earned quarry. Alas, the technical elements truly beat my synapses into submission. Maybe, one day... #QuestionsWithCauseway
In this week's #QuestionsWithCauseway, we're digging deep into our souls. There are games we've wanted to love. We've tried again and again to sink into them, but something just isn't clicking...
So... what game have you tried to get into but just haven't been able to make stick?
Alrighty... this week's #QuestionsWithCauseway will really help you get to know us.
We asked our team to share a unique fact about themselves. What better way to get to know someone than find out something unforgettable about them?
Mass Effect. The whole trilogy (yes they all count as one game). I’ve given up telling myself I’ll make different choices. I always fall into roughly the same rut, but dammit if it ain’t fun. I love this world and its characters (Citadel DLC, laughter and tears). What a ride. #QuestionsWithCauseway
Yes, this is a picture of Sneak King for the Xbox 360. Don't judge us.
It's Friday. It's been a long week. We know you're tired.
Buuuuut... it's time to wake up for #QuestionsWithCauseway!
This week, we're asking you to join us in answering...
"What is your guilty pleasure game? You know.. the one you keep coming back to when you can't figure out what to play."
Features that always puts a smile on my face are what I'd call "approachability" features. Little quality of life tweaks that make the experience smoother or allow me to alter a setting. This could be as simple as including a "Mark All Read", but includes a wide range (1/4) #QuestionsWithCauseway
A Riddler Trophy from Batman: Arkham Asylum
The week is coming to a close, so that means it's time for another #QuestionsWithCauseway!
This week, we're asking... "What's your favorite game mechanic or feature (regardless of genre)? What puts a smile on your face when it shows up in the game you're playing?"
For me its probably has to be city builders (though cozy games come close). Something about the the multitasking, micro-manage-y gameplay loop really engages me. Highlights last year for me were Frostpunk 2, Ixion, and Against the Storm. #QuestionsWithCauseway
While I can't say I play EVERY title, I'm a huge fan of Survival Horror. In particular, I prefer when the genre gives you ways to fight back but requires you to manage resources and execute under pressure -- you can fight... just not everything 😏😱 #QuestionsWithCauseway #IndieGames
For this week's #QuestionsWithCauseway:
Even players with diverse tastes tend to gravitate to one genre more than others. So we asked our team which genre is their greatest passion, and the one they simply must experience every time a new game is released. So… what’s yours? #IndieDev
There are a lot of games I'm excited for, but a standout is the Fable reboot! I grew up playing the series, so they hold a special spot in my heart. I'm excited to see what comes next and hoping that we get a fantastic world filled with the goofiness I remember. #QuestionsWithCauseway
Hard to pick a MOST anticipated game for this year, but I think I'm going with Resident Evil: Requiem. I've loved Survival Horror and RE in particular since I was young. Ever since RE7, the series has been on an absolute heater, so I'm (heart)pumped for this one. #QuestionsWithCauseway
It's Friday! And that means, it's time for another... #QuestionsWithCauseway!
Last week, we looked back at our favorite games of 2025. This week, our team is going to look ahead.
What's your most anticipated game of 2026? Our team will answer, and we'd love you to chime in, also! #IndieDev
Tough choice for me this year, but Silent Hill F is my GOTY!
I've always been a big fan of the SH series, and I think F was a breath of fresh air narratively and mechanically. I loved Hinako's journey every step of the way. Also, it is absolutely, horrifyingly, gorgeous. #QuestionswithCauseway
I think my GOTY has to be Ghost of Yōtei. Tsushima was such an unexpected joy for me, and I couldn't wait for the sequel. Ezo is just a meditative delight to explore -- the game has one of the best art directions I've seen in games -- freeflow combat is visceral and fun. #QuestionswithCauseway
I love that we're doing this!
With that said, I had a TOUGH time picking my GOTY. But thinking about which game is still sitting with me, it's gotta be Dispatch.
The Telltale formula works... IF you ship episodes on a regular cadence. This one hits hard! #QuestionswithCauseway
This week’s #QuestionsWithCauseway:
There were a number of great games in 2025, and it’s hard to pick a GOTY… but we’re doing it anyway! This week, our team will share their picks and tell you why!
We want to hear your picks, too! Quote-post your GOTY so we can share it out! #IndieDev
Welcome to #QuestionsWithCauseway! Each week, you’ll get to know our team a bit better with a fun Q&A!
As big publishers walk down the path of AI, we want to remind you that the best games are made by human beings. And what better way to do that than grill our team with weekly questions?
