First wrist surgery scheduled. July 16th. They’ll do a wrist arthrodesis and distal ulna resection. I was shocked to find out I won’t need any fingers fixed. 😃 When they manually straighten my wrists, my fingers follow and straighten.
I needed this good news.

I was able to sweep and mop and get some laundry washed before I ran out of spoons. I took a nap to recover enough energy to cobble together dinner. Here's hoping my meds are kicking in to kick RA's butt. I want my life back.

I am missing my sewing machine. It's been a week of intense joint pain in my hands and knees and overwhelming fatigue and my morning stiffness is back. RA sucks. Back on steroids to fight the flare. 😭

A beautiful 2 mile stroll around FDR Park in Philly today made for a most excellent way to destress from the horrors that persist.
It was so cool to see that the lake is still all frozen.
There were maybe 4 other people here today.
It was so peaceful.

In August 2024, I sat on this bench after a post-op PT hobble around the park and cried.
My hip replacement recovery was frustrating me & it was hard to be patient w/ my body.
Today I’m sitting here so happy after my 1st 2 mile walk at a steady pace.

I just walked to a favorite coffeeshop from my home!
10 months post-total right hip replacement. I finally feel strong enough to walk here + back today.
There’s lots of really bad stuff going on in the world, but this is so good. I’m chasing the good.
