This.
And also: I got home from #RISC_OS North three days ago. I think I've recovered enough to switched on a computer at home this evening to post an announcement on RISCOSitory and (if it works this week) usenet.
Interested in coding on RISC OS? Want to learn more or meet others? Join our friendly fireside chat on Zoom—DM for credentials (unchanged). The event is on Saturday, 28th March at 7:30 pm (GMT).

Home. Longer drive back from #RISC_OS North (nearly four hours) than the drive up (three).
Unusually long for the drive home, and unusually short for the drive up - but that, I suspect, is the benefit of heading up a day early.
I will test this theory on future trips.

#RISC_OS North is THIS WEEKEND!
(In case you've forgotten already)
www.riscository.com/2026/risc-os...
Other than that, the game remains as far from complete as it was at London.
I did start looking at moving one of the critters, but decided if I continued I'd spend too much time on it and end up under pressure to get ready for #risc_os North (I'm heading up tomorrow).
Talks are RISC OS Dev/Orpheus, R-Comp. ROOL, and Sine Nomine - I received the schedule yesterday evening and updated riscosnorth.uk accordingly. Looks like this article was written earlier in the day.
But otherwise: quick preview from @iconbar.com
Be at the #RISC_OS show on Saturday. 👍
Come and see one of these in action, running #RISC_OS, on Saturday at #RISCOSnorth Show!

Due to an undetected issue in the build pipeline last night this weekend #RISC_OS ShreFSServer alpha builds did not get on the distirbution server, my apologies to all the testers.
The issue is now resolved and build 0.1.3 is available for testing using the usual URL.
Thanks.
#RISC_OS ShareFSServer testers, changes for this weekend build here:

Build should be available tomorrow morning.

QEMU showing that all Pi 2 cores have reached kernel idle thread state on Merlin's boot
#RISC_OS Merlin is officially fully multi-cores! All #RaspberryPi 2 cores reach Kernel Idle Threads and can process both IRQs and SWIs, a picture of a test session using QEMU to measure everything that was going on.
So what's going on here? Thread 👇

Eek!
I am probably less prepared for this one than I have ever been for a #RISC_OS show.
(And the fact that I'm normally terrible and very much a last minute prep guy, the fact that I'm saying it this time means it really is a problem this time! Could we perhaps put the show back by 6 months?)

#RISC_OS, what this weekend update contains you have read it on the ROOL's forum post, but how does it looks like Screenshots! 😆
RISC OS 3.10/3.7/5 Using very long file names, and getting #MacOS , #WIndows, #Linux and #BSD Unicode translated (where possible) to Latin1, now how cool is that?
Do you remember Acorn Computers? The company designed and delivered the first ARM chip and the BBC Micro. Want to know more or catch up? The RISC OS North show, is on Saturday 21st March, in Warrington, UK.
