We watched this American #Bittern as it hunted its way along the #RNWR autoroute for over 30 minutes. Disappointed for the 20+ cars that sped by and didn't see it. Here it was watching an Eagle fly overhead.

Went back yesterday to the mouth of the Lewis River on the Columbia where the annual Smelt run attracts scores of #BaldEagles, White Pelicans, and Sea Lions. With a evening visit at #RNWR, took over 1800 images. This juvie was from my last visit.
