Bettendorf, IA Run With Carl was established in 1994, while I am not sure when we first started participating in this event, it's one we continue to keep on our race calendar. You can read more about the history here: The 2025 event was not any different that the most recent years. It falls on Labor Day which for us (my husband and I,) means that we get a day to relax from the first home Iowa football game before an early race morning.

PRs at Mountain Mist 50k - Ultra Running Magazine This year marked the 31st running of the Mountain Mist 50k in Huntsville, Alabama, and with a large field of over 500 entrants, plenty of people had the opportunity to run this historic race.
