Most folks (quite reasonably!) hear this as alternating bars of 4/4 and 12/8, but during #RadioheadTop30, I realized you *can* count it in 5 if you assume the 2nd bar is full of crazy syncopation.

I only kinda understand what's meant when they say jazz is all about the notes you *don't* play, but I assume it also applies to this song and how the weird pauses in the bassline & the crispness of the drums leave a void for the guitars to fill?

After all the years of trying to get this right - they finally got there! Closing A Moon Shaped Pool, I sobbed after hearing it. It’s beautiful and special - about the pain, the joy and the strength of love
