Prepping a vintage #RalPartha #Battletech "Unseen" Phoenix Hawk battlemech mini for painting. The head lasers will be cut down to size. It's easier to glue them in too long, then trim. This is, of course, a #Macross VF-1S Super Valkyrie Battroid... and is probably lead.

Some sources reclassify 80s #GrenadierModels and #RalPartha as 28mm, while other sources classify "true 28mm" as 28mm to the eye. Attempts at making it easier to compare different miniature lines have made it worse! (Don't get me started on "Heroic Scale.")

An old ral partha wizard panted blue robes and azure hat with gnarled wooden staff theminiature base with rock and dirt and green overgrowth a pail white is on it from the drying varnesh
Waiting for a primer to dry on a 54mm model based this wizard I painted year ago and applied a varnish.

Used #RalPartha 1985 Battledroids "Hornet", painted in an interesting camo pattern of airbrushed sky tones on the top, and earth tone at the bottom! It's so very interesting looking, I plan on keeping it like this, and just trimming it up a little. 🙂 #Battletech
Salvage job vintage painted #RalPartha piece. #Battletech '86 "Flea" was painted in blue-grey, fluorescent green, black details, heavy highlights. Beautiful basing work! But some was missing. I added antennas, covered the green, shaded, repainted details & cockpit, rebuilt missing base textures.

Shortly after receiving this notification last night, I subjected @coreyosullivan.com to a detailed explanation of the differences between AD&D's many "naked lady monsters," so she'd understand why I can't buy the same #RalPartha naked lady miniature to represent all those monsters!
Done whe #Battletech #RalPartha Grasshopper mech from the 1980s. Still ugly. I used a copper/bronze-like paint, because it reminded me of one of my dad's old Captain Video toys from the 1950s.
1980s #RalPartha original #Battletech "Grasshopper" mech in progress. Stripped old paint. Replaced tiny missing hands with salvaged fists. Repositioned right arm. Add antenna. Ral Partha vintage base. Stabbed pinning wire into my finger. It's still ugly. Maybe a good paint job can save it.
Finished upgrade work on the early 1980s #RalPartha #Battletech 'Unseen' Wolverine. The tone darkened it a bit more than I intended. But it's another old, battleworn #mecha. The mini is indeed lead. My pin-vice drilled into it easily to make holes for the antennas & machine guns. Before/after pics.
I acquired this #RalPartha metal #Battletech Unseen Wolverine used. The previous owner - whoever that was - put a lot of effort and love into it. In respect of that, rather than strip and repaint it, I think I'll tidy it up and shade it.

A rare, fragile, original #RalPartha #Battletech "Unseen" Warhammer #Battlemech hidden under a bad paint job, from a limited run of blue resin called "Partha Plastic" used in the spincast molds rather than metal. Probably the final use of the original Unseen molds. Handle with care!!!
