Vue de l'atoll de Rangiroa dans l'archipel des Tuamotu depuis l'avion, photo prise en 2001. On voit une longue bande de terre, qui est en fait du corail affleurant qui s'est couvert de terre et d'un peu de végétation et qui marque la limite entre le lagon, peu profond et bleu clair, en haut sur la photo, et la mer profonde et bleu foncé, en bas sur la photo. L'ensemble forme un grand anneau étroit partiellement immergé, dont on ne distingue qu'une partie sur la photo.

In the landscape photo of bright blue is a school of thousands of barracuda surrounding two divers and swimming in a tornado like motion. The vantage point of the photographer is from below the divers by twenty feet and slightly ahead. The divers are facing the camera and floating upright in the almost center of the tornado. The tornado is narrow near the divers and widens substantially as more fisher joining in from the edges of the frame
