Blue sky all around on the left hand side of the image. The bird has broad wings and a stocky body, typical of a Buteo jamaicensis red tailed hawk. Its plumage is varied, with lighter brown and white feathers on its chest with a visible belly band, and a reddish-brown tail visible from behind. The hawk is looking towards the left side of the frame.
