2/ 🦠 Early biofilms (2-14 days) contained plastic-degrading #Bacteria (Rhodococcus, Bacillus) as part of the #rarebiosphere. Key genes (alkB, fadL) for breaking down #hydrocarbons were highly active, especially in plastic-polluted soil.
