The Rebel X team eating out a local diner. Ulan perishes on the table due to Wyatt convincing her that honey mustard was actually just honey. Chrys consumed 10 meals without breaking a sweat. Wyatt is horrified by what he's done. Juliette is fascinated by the size of Kazemi's shake >w> (and Earth's obsession with large foods). James tries to unsuccessfully keep Octavia away from his pizza. Kazemi brags that the shake should've been bigger like in Japan, but this shall suffice. Goyle is sickened by the greed and the check total.

Sketches of Chrys, the "youngest" member of the RebelX, our 90s Xmen ttrpg campaign. She's a scrawny blonde kid sporting a punk shredded vest, cropped purple and yellow hoodie, and light rolled up jeans. But her iconic items are her purple and white goggles and converse. Notably, she wields a beat up wooden bat even though it has nothing to do with her power set. Being more delinquent than heroic, Chrys didn't choose to be part of the Xmen, they just needed her dad's skill set.

After a rather discouraging mission, the young Xmen were on their way back home. Chrys slid into a seat next to Goyle, avoiding eye contact with her teammate. Chrys had just informed everyone that, on behalf of the team, she rejected the mutant cult's offer to "cure" them of their flaws. She suspected that it would be some kind of monkey's paw. Goyle was clearly hurt by lack of choice in the matter. When pressed by Ulan, she explained that it would have been nice to look normal again and not be a freak. Her purple skin flushed as she gripped her forearms. She was unable to fully cross her arms due to the bat-like boning that protruded from them. Chrys empathized with Goyle, with a dusty memory rearing its ugly head. The pain of that day was so far in the past, but it felt just as fresh. Chrys opened up about how people will always find a way to ostracize others. Ethnicities, ideologies, the people you love... These were only a handful excuses given to exact unspeakable cruelty on others. Why should we have to change for their comfort when we haven't hurt anyone? Despite this, Goyle's mood worsened. The pep talk was not going well. Chrys didn't want to minimize any of Goyle's feelings, she just wanted to connect with them. But she also knew that wasn't good at this kind of stuff. It's only been her and Ulan for a really, really long time. Chrys ended with a simple statement. "You're amazing as you are, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise." Ulan chimed in, "I think Goyle's super pretty!" Chrys felt her chest tighten as she quietly agreed, "She is."
Amidst the discussion happening around him, James only thought of one thing. "Is that pink thing a drone...?" Surely he was being punked right now. Superheroes, mutants, powers... these were all just fictional terms from comics. He only grew more suspicious as he stared at tiny Ulan on Goyle's shoulder.
Chrys does her best to give Goyle a pep talk
