Rondom op #Texel is nog erg weinig diversiteit te zien. Tussen de duizenden Ganzen en Eenden is het dan ook een feestje om op het #Wagejot ook de #Kluut ( #RecurvirostraAvosetta, #Avocet) tegen te komen!

Pied avocet -- Recurvirostra avosetta

Although I have never seen a pied avocet in real life, I look at pictures and am struck by the pleasing contrast of the black and white in its plumage and the elegant curvature of its beak.
