The Chinese red panda calls southwestern China and northern Myanmar home. This panda sports a more vibrant reddish coat, giving it a slightly bolder appearance. Their facial markings are more pronounced with darker "teartracks" under their eyes.

Climate change further exacerbates the problem, as rising temperatures and changing precipitation patterns alter the bamboo forests on which red pandas depend. This had resulted in red pandas being forced to move to higher grounds.
