Y'all I saw my first ever LOON the other day! Unfortunately a jetski had scared it on land, which must have been tough for it. They aren't good walkers. :( There was a cute ladybug on the friend tho!

An elegant #RedThroatedLoon came so close, I could not capture its whole body. In winter, plumage lacks the namesake red throat, but this bird is poetry in motion. Taken in January 2025 at #BodegaBay, #California.
