It was #Redentore Yesterday in #Venice and I FINALLY got to see It live with a friend. A lot of people and an illegal hot and humid weather, but It was worth It (mind you the #fireworks last 40 minutes). I had a hard time editing out random heads, pls appreciate the effort lol

The end of the canal, where it debouches into a much larger one, like a canal T-junction, is spanned by a bridge, along the top of which have been suspended a garland of big round warm-yellow lanterns. Just below them in the frame is an answering lantern garland on another island in the distance. The lanterns have turned the ink-black canal water into luminous rippling gold.
