i agree. my suspicion is that they've calculated that any announcement like that will simply be met by howls of "betrayal" and all the usual things that #reformatory and their supporters come up with... and that this is possibly the least worst policy.

the bigger problem is #reformatory and the UK media sitting slavering awaiting Labour to try to "reverse #brexit " - even if that is to fix some of the more spectacular failures - and then to constantly attack Labour, demanding elections, and completely derailing any government programmes.
the problem is that a lot needs to happen in the UK before that conversation can even start.
UK rejoins, and... Labour loses the next election to #reformatory and... the UK is out of the EU again.
