Hat tip to the #RevolutionsPodcast for the upsettingly relevant history lesson. I had never heard of this Wilson or the Ten Tragic Days. I am guessing Mexicans do learn this. podcasts.apple.com/ma/podcast/revolutions/i...
Thanks to history writer and podcaster #MikeDuncan for mentioning Tarlton on the wonderful #RevolutionsPodcast , causing me to say aloud to myself: “Wait, General Sir Banastre Tarlton, 1st Baronet like the tree!?” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Duncan_(podcaster
Listening to the #Revolutions podcast read out my neighbor Tom’s Declaration of Independence. It is incredible how completely this captures the present moment, from trade to taxation to military occupation to legislation and the justice system. George is laughing somewhere […]
Going back and listening to the #RevolutionsPodcast archive. I am horrified at this bit, that England was still running a national mandatory tithing system, a holdover from Catholicism, but also some private landlords had gained this right to collect tithes as a kind of state mandated […]

Continuing my #Andor obsession, I’m watching yet another interview with showrunner Tony Gilroy on John Stewart’s weekly show and he recommends the #RevolutionsPodcast https://sites.libsyn.com/47475 #history #StarWars
I feel sorry for Mike Duncan he spent over 10 years researching and podcasting about #Revolutionspodcast then wrote this great fictional Martian revolution only for his own President to run with a narrative history that's so over the top no one would ever believe it
Space battles? In *my* history podcast? It's more likely than you think. #revolutionspodcast
When Martians were deported to Jupiter before the Martial Revolution, it was usually to Ganymede, but said deportation was almost a death sentence. #RevolutionsPodcast
Finding out that Mike Duncan's Revolution Podcast will continue after Season 11 just made my day

Watching the Price Is Right from 12/12/24 and there was an Octavio and a Livia on bidders row. Does @mikeduncan.bsky.social think the other contestants will be dropping like the prices?

This reminds me of @mikeduncan.bsky.social’s #RevolutionsPodcast, Revolutions have something in common: A dire need for change, an entrenched aristocracy fighting it tooth and nail because they don’t want to surrender their privilege and can see no other way. They all end the same way — revolution
Honestly, if Duncan wanted to do something genuinely funny for the #revolutionspodcast, he would throw some other languages up for the various important events in the Martian Revolution, so his fictional narrator can get razzed for messing up the pronunciation of Martian neo-Creole or something.
Those who are surprised by the murder of United healthcare Brian Thompson, have never studied what often happens a few years before a revolution breaks out in very inequitable/ unfair societies. What do you think, @mikeduncan.bsky.social ? #RevolutionsPodcast
I get the feeling Mike Duncan specifically wrote episode 11.5 of Revolutions specifically to annoy Elon Musk (and hopefully make him bugger off from our nice fandom..) and I am really here for it!
#revolutionspodcast
Wow the #RevolutionsPodcast by Mike Duncan just released the first episode of season 11 - and it’s …. weird? A fictional “history” of the Martian Revolution of 2247.

@mikeduncan.bsky.social You magnificent son-of-a-*#&@. you did it. #martianrevolution #revolutionspodcast
On to the French part of the #RevolutionsPodcast. Impressed by how well the top 0.1% upper-class were able to co-opt lower-class economic anxieties to fight against unjust demands that upper-class pay taxes. Great strategy. No downsides at all.
And now I'm hearing John Adams' 1776 intro "Stamp Act, Townsend Act, Sugar Act, TEA ACTS!" #revolutionspodcast
