Thank heavens for Fiona Bruce and the #AntiquesRoadshow recognising #Trevithick 's Penydarren locomotive of 1804, in Swansea.
Bravo! At last!
[And can we have less now of this bizarre "200" anniversary this year made up by current rail companies].
#RichardTrevithick
The play centres on #RichardTrevithick who, in Merthyr, in 1804, first used steam power for industrial purposes when he caused a steam engine to pull a ten-ton load of iron from Penydarren Works to Abercynon, or Navigation as it was then called.
Mae'r ddrama yn canolbwyntio ar #RichardTrevithick a ddefnyddiodd bŵer stêm ym Merthyr, ym 1804, am y tro cyntaf at ddibenion diwydiannol pan achosodd i injan stêm dynnu llwyth deg tunnell o haearn o Waith Penydarren i Abercynon, neu Navigation fel y'i gelwid bryd hynny.
Then we have GB Railfreight's rebuild of a Class 56, known as a Class 69. This one in particular is 69007 'Richard Trevithick.
