The same good friend at Newgrounds once left a comment on "The beary lash out" like many others art pieces that contained the dialogue that you see here, alluding a Pokemon parody where Maguro would seemingly send Risukuma out to battle. I took a mental note on this fun idea, hoping to myself that I would one day make an illustration out of it... and now it's here! I took me quite a bit to figure out the exact setting that doesn't require too much complication to present this one joke while still being presentable and found the one from the Black and White games to be at least easy to do (and fitting given the timing for both games from their respective franchises). R. K. was intended to wear the Ursaring suit until I thought the one that's Luvdisc themed would be a better fit. Because it's the only pokemon that's heartshaped (even grants an item called "heart scale" that's usually spent for the Move Reminders) and most of Risu's spell names are "love" in different languages. The UI elements are last minute additions, it was a little hard to between the two of them since they do vary between versions. Honestly interesting how dedicated Game Freak once was for adding in even the smallest details. Not like I'm much into Pokemon nowadays, but I do myself revisiting it, at least the older games.
