The #RiverUre going full bore over Middle Falls this afternoon.

You can't tell from this shot particularly but #AysgarthFalls is such a stunning, magical haven of nature.

'No Diving, No Heavy Petting'

The tea-coloured waters of the #RiverUre, here cascading over part of #RedmireFalls, take on their unusual tones from the local peaty earth.

The Ure is the main river in Wensleydale - the only major Dale named after a village rather than its river - with the old name for the valley being Yoredale, which was named after the river that runs through it.

Colour photograph of the River Ure at Hackfall. The river intersects the photograph diagonally with the bottom right corner of rocky riverbed in shades of brown, dappled with sunlight. The top is full if beautiful, huge trees overhanging the river with their green leaves almost touching the water in places. Glimpses of blue sky in places.

Hackfall is a 120 acre site of ancient semi-natural woodland in a steep gorge, complete with restored 18th century grottos and waterfalls.
