One of the most popular war comic characters was DC's #Sgt.Rock, first appearing in "Our Army at War" #83 (June 1959), created by #RobertKaniger & #JoeKubert. He has made consistent appearances in DC Comics to this day.

One of the more unique characters from the war comics genre was #EnemyAce, created by #RobertKaniger and #JoeKubert, an ace German fighter pilot who fought in World War I & II. First appearing in #OurArmyAtWar #151 (Feb. 1965), he provided a fresh perspective from the German side of both wars.
