PRIVILEGE following this @GlobalFlyway bar-tailed godwit for all 8 migratory journeys since tagging in Oct 2015 @ #RoebuckBay Oz. Her Yellow Sea staging site at Yancheng is now a #WorldHeritageSite. What about her other regular sites Yakutia nest site? New Siberian Is? Tugur Bay?

YES! After her Sulawesi stop, the Yancheng @GlobalFlyway bar-tailed godwit was yesterday, within 2 hrs of arrival, seen safely back at #RoebuckBay #Broome (where tagged in 2017.) Last week's Yancheng conference debated how to rid Yancheng's tidal flats of invasive alien Spartina.

Yes! The 4th & last transmitting @austnorthwest @GlobalFlyway Bar-tailed Godwit just left #RoebuckBay & is already nearly at Flores en route (probably) to its usual staging site at Yancheng (in past years it stopped 1st at Zuijiang or Fujian). The 3rd is nr Fujian Jingfengzhen.

A 2nd @GlobalFlyway bar-tailed godwit has left for the Yellow Sea & is over the Celebes Sea. This one from #RoebuckBay is probably going back to Yingkou. The 1st was from #80MileBeach & expect will return to Jiangsu Dongsha where it will be probably be joined by the last 2.

The @GlobalFlyway Great Knot that flew to Sulawesi a week ago is now back at Broome! The other is already at Dalupiri Island, NPhilippines! (A few unmarked great knots are now at Yalujiang). The 13 bar-tailed godwits all still in Oz at #RoebuckBay #Broome (5) & #80MileBeach (8)

All 14 @GlobalFlyway satellite tagged bar-tailed godwits & 5 great knots still settled in their NW Australian non-breeding home, except for the Papua knot (plus 1 Broome knot stopped transmitting). All are at #RoebuckBay #Broome except 8 godwits at #80MileBeach & the Darwin knot

The 14 @GlobalFlyway satellite tagged bar-tailed #godwits are all sitting pretty in their North West #Australian non-breeding home, 8 using #80MileBeach and 6 at #RoebuckBay, #Broome. #shorebird #wader #ornithology
