25 May 1942 // Armed trawler HMIS Tanjore broke down with engine failure while sailing from Bombay to Karachi. In poor weather she drifted inshore and ran aground. Finally salvaged in late December, she was towed to Bombay and written off as a total loss. #RoyalIndianNavy #WW2 #NavalHistory
