Ruby Bridges is an American hero. On Nov 14, 1960, 6-year-old Ruby was the first African American child to attend a former white-only elementary school during the New Orleans school desegregation crisis.
Thank you, Ruby, for leading the way.

✨ Today the MoCo Bunch celebrates Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day!
In 1960, 6-year-old Ruby bravely integrated an all-white school, showing the world the power of courage.
Let’s walk forward with kindness, hope, and unity. 💛

We're so proud to be part of the Safe Routes to School team in Oregon who are helping make #RubyBridgesWalktoSchoolDay an official observance in our state! Particularly as the Trump administration attempts to erase Black people, women, LGBTQIA communities and others from our collective history.

Had some amazing good luck this morning riding to meet up for our #WalkNRoll to school this morning. Not only was there a break in the rain but we got a rainbow. #RubyBridgesWalkToSchoolDay
"Our determination to succeed is so strong, failure will not prevail."
Ruby Bridges would be proud of these #CascadeLocks students for walking to school in her honor.
