It was once said that, “All the best things in life are free.” Samples of appetizers at a grocery store, sample packages of shampoo in the mail, complementary withering looks from one’s mother upon refusing to eat the turnips she prepared for Thanksgiving dinner. The list is endless, though not entirely imaginative. So why not stand out with a take on the matter that will not only appeal to your audiophile friends, but beg confusion and conversation on the part of all else, even those who cannot hear, but appreciate the concept by way of text and vibration? For it is sound in any perceived form that alerts us to the vibration, presence, and life of the world around—and within—us. Finally, in the spirit of added intrigue and depth, this particular concept came to represent somewhat of a veiled tribute to legendary record producer Rupert Hine, who—I have on good authority—would have certainly enjoyed its subtle humour and discreet references to his career (there are indeed four of them for you to discover: see if you can!)

Continuing the run through the recently-acquired #Rush box set, #RollTheBones is similar in sound ( #RupertHine) to #Presto but to these ears doesn’t reach as many high points. Also, there’s an ill-advised but fun rap section. Maybe I just need to spend more time with it
