Today I had the pleasure of meeting Pascale Chen, coordinator of #Women Wage Peace, and Reem Al Hajajra, director of #Women of the Sun. Together we discussed their role in the #Middle #East and congratulated them on their final nomination for the 2024 #Sakharov Prize.
For many people, Sakharov became a symbol of resistance, courage and honesty, and saying goodbye to him was a civic duty, an opportunity to self-organize and meet like-minded people.
