The 10th and last #SF4C Award goes to Preschool Lobelka 🇸🇰, with their kindergarten located in the mountain and connected with organic local farmers, where children have the chance to visit fields and discuss about the food they eat!

The 9th #SF4C Award goes to Fugnerova Louny Preschool 🇨🇿, for the collaboration between teachers, parents, children & cafeteria staff to redesign the menu w/ healthier options and focus on reducing food waste, but also for their school garden and educational field trips!

The 8th #SF4C Award goes to Département Dordogne for strong political vision, making use of local knowledge, investing in people and supporting organic farming practices and local supplies. What's in the future? Organic food for retirement homes and hospitals!

The 7th #SF4C Award goes to the City of Milan for the provision of adequate canteen and school places to meet, the involvement of all actors and the combination of activities for adults and children, including meeting the cooks!

The 6th #SF4C Award goes to the City of Ghent 🇧🇪, for their shift towards more plant-based proteins, aiming to lower greenhouse gas emissions. Through their efforts, they managed to reduce these by 41%! Also, organic share reached 23% and is growing. Well done!

The 5th #SF4C Award goes to the City of Umea 🇸🇪, for their use of existing well-established structures, for their extensive collaboration work to help other schools with sustainability and for providing free school lunches for all.

The 4rd #SF4C Award goes to Mahtra School in Tallinn 🇪🇪, with their diverse experience from multiple fields, collaboration with various funding sources and involvement of 8th-9th grade students!

The 3rd #SF4C Award goes to the Italian City of Nuoro! They renewed school catering contract focusing on social, environmental and educational criteria. Public and private entities collaborate, and there's a focus on sourcing local and educating students on nutrition.

The 2nd #SF4C Award goes to the City of Vienna and #Danachda! With their great teamwork and motivated experts they are changing perspectives offering pupils hands-on learning, teaching them how to prepare healthy meals.

During panel discussion, Germinal Peiro, President of Dordogne, presented their project for 100% organic - 100% local - 100% homemade food in their schools. At the moment, 15 schools out of 35 are certified, end of the year it will be 21, and by 2028 it will be 35, so 100%.
